When my mom suggested we go to the new coffee shop The Broad Street Grind for our Thursday morning breakfast, I was more than intrigued. The minute I stepped into the modern, industrial cafe I fell in love. The menu had so many options as well as a variety of pastries. We sat at the charming bar section and admired the environment. I noticed a couch, and many tables where you could catch up on work. The environment was very relaxed and I am looking forward to doing my school work here on the weekends. When I finished my meal I was delighted to go upstairs and shop at a cute boutique called Love Obsessed.(which I adored) I knew I needed to get O and J involved. We went on our first coffee date and had a great time. They loved the environment as well. (we went shopping after hehe) I honestly can not get enough of The Broad Street Grind. I would recommend them to anyone, and not such for the coffee (although it is amazing) They have amazing food AND amazing people AND a great environment!

I ordered a cappuccino with regular milk and it was absolutely adorable. The barista gave it a gorgeous heart on top and it was absolutely. It was caramel flavor, which wasn’t extremely present, but it wasn’t too sweet, which is something that happens too often. I absolutely love a good cappuccino, no matter what season it is. I also ordered a peanut butter chocolate muffin, which was warm and delicious. When it comes to baked goods, I have a very standard and they definitely met it. It was rich, but fluffy. The peanut was incorporated by stacking the two types of batters, which gave each flavor a distinct flavor, giving it nice contrast. The overall aesthetic of the cafe itself was one of my favourites I have seen. It was modern with touches of rustic and was comfy, yet also clean. Definitely a good hang out spot, especially with the boutique upstairs and the escape room. The barista’s were nice and enthusiastic and helpful when it came to choosing my pastry. 4.5/5 stars

My order was a coconut milk cappuccino (shout out to my dairy-intolerant sisters!). It was not sweet, which, like J said, I enjoyed, since many coffee drinks are overly sweetened. Sadly the coconut milk must’ve been to difficult to froth and make designs with, because I didn’t get cappuccino art like J. But I can get over that fact haha. With my coffee, I ordered a peach scone. It was delicious! Only like $2.95 I believe. I recommend their scones. They are flaky, perfectly sweet, and soft inside. It was wonderful to enjoy these items at the cute little bar. The customer service was great, but the industrial design of the modern cafe was greater. It seemed like a neat place to get some work done. Overall, the broad street grind is a cool environment with tasty menu items. I rate it 4/5 stars.
